Martin Thomas, has senior leadership experience in both international development and domestic charities. As a former business editor and Journalist he also understand business.
He brings an understanding of for-purpose organisations, as well as for-profit. Martin understands how to ensure for-purpose organisations make an impact, how to measure that impact and how to tell the story so others are inspired to join the movement for change.
Martin has successfully managed government grants teams with budgets of up to $200 million and corporate fundraising teams with targets of more than $20 million. As CEO of Habitat for Humanity he significantly boosted corporate funding and corporate engagement/volunteering.
Over more than 15 years, Martin has been involved with countless successful advocacy campaigns that have brought real change to the lives of people in Australia and overseas.
He understand how to communicate powerfully, to engage others and to inspire others.
Martin has Master of Arts (International Relations) from Deakin University and a Bachelor of Ministries from Morling College. He is currently studying an Executive Masters of Business Administration at Sydney University.
He was a founding board member of International Justice Mission Australia and currently sits on the board of Transparency International Australia
